About Jeff Foxworthy
Jeff Foxworthy is a comedian from Atlanta, GA and one of the most recognized names in comedy today. He became famous by using jokes starting with the phrase 'you might be a redneck'. Foxworthy is part of the Blue Collar Comedy group (made up of Ron White, Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, and Jeff Foxworthy). The tour was a huge success, and went on to sell thousands of tickets to venues nationwide. Jeff Foxworthy studied at Georgia Tech University, following in his father's footsteps. After graduation, he went to work for IBM. After 5 years, he left his desk job and began the path to his dream, comedy. Per JeffFoxworthy.org, after he won the Southeastern Laugh-Off at the Punch Line Comedy club he left his career in computers for comedy. In 1993, Foxworthy released his album, You Might Be A Redneck If…, which fully introduced the comedy world to Jeff Foxworthy. After the success of that album, Foxworthy decided to give TV a go with the "The Jeff Foxworthy Show". Although the sitcom failed, Foxworthy did not give up and continued to release his music, comedy tapes, and books.
