Founded in 1926, the Chicago Blackhawks are a professional ice hockey (NHL) team based in Chicago, IL and play their home games at the United Center. The Blackhawks compete in the Central Division of the Western Conference against teams like Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, and Winnipeg Jets. Over their career the team has brought home six Stanley Cup Championships (1933–34, 1937–38, 1960–61, 2009–10, 2012–13, 2014–15) to Chicago. KHL Admiral trade Blackhawks’ prospect Ivan Nalimov to Sibir
The Chicago netminder has a 2.87 goals-against average and .902 save percentage in 13 games this season. Admiral Vladivostok of the KHL have traded Chicago Blackhawks prospect Ivan Nalimov to HC Sibir Novosibirsk in exchange for money compensation on Sunday. Nalimov, 22, signed a two-year contract extension with Admiral in March, but hadn’t produced as much as the Sailors had hoped. He has a 2.87 goals-against average and .902 save percentage in 13 games this season. The Hawks drafted Nalimov with the No. 179 overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. He’s spent every season since then with Admiral. Despite being unsigned within two years after being drafted at the age of 20, Chicago has retained his rights. In 2013, the NHL signed player transfer agreements with nearly every prominent hockey federation in Europe that outlined rules for how the league would handle things like draft rights. Chicago prospect John Dahlström was among the final three cuts. Chicago Blackhawks prospect Lucas Carlsson was named to Team Sweden’s World Junior Championship roster while fellow prospect John Dahlström was among the final cuts, the Swedish Ice Hockey Association announced Sunday. Carlsson has a goal and four assists for Brynäs IF of the Swedish Hockey League in 19 games this season. The 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman has never played in the World Juniors tournament. The Hawks drafted the left-handed blue liner with the No. 110 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Draft. Dahlström is in his first season playing North American hockey after being drafted in the second round by Medicine Hat of the Western Hockey League in the Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. Blackhawks place C Anisimov on IR, recall Kero from minors
CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Blackhawks have placed center Artem Anisimov on injured reserve and recalled forward Tanner Kero from Rockford of the American Hockey League. Anisimov has missed Chicago's last two games with an upper-body injury. The IR designation is retroactive to last Sunday. The 28-year-old Anisimov has 14 goals and 13 assists in 32 games this season. Kero had seven goals and 13 assists for the IceHogs. He made his NHL debut last season with the Blackhawks and had a goal and two assists in 17 games. The Blackhawks announced the moves on Thursday.
