WWE HISTORY
The WWE has been around for over 50 years! The brand and events themselves have been family friendly events that some venues throughout the country sell-out on a regular basis. Find your tickets for all WWE events at CapitalCityTickets.com to see your favorite pro wrestler in person.

The WWE is the largest professional wrestling promotion company in the world. WEE has created several independent brands within the brand like WWE: Raw, WWE: Smackdown, and WWE: NXT Live.

Roderick "Jess" McMahon and Joseph Mondt founded the originally regional wrestling brand in 1952. It was mostly operated in the Northeast United States. Vince J. McMahon (Jess McMahon son) eventually took over the company and renamed the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) and later the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

In 1980, Vincent K. McMahon, after buying the company from his father, took the wrestling marketing from a regional business plan to a national business plan. He used several tactics to accomplish including ideas like: pay-per-view, video recordings, and television.

WWF Monday Night Raw (first televised event) televised on January 11, 1993. The event was performed as a live event which brought record ticket sales rather than filmed on a sound stage or back studio lot.

WrestleMania has been produced annually since 1985, and is the championship that brings together all the WWE brands in a final showdown. Typically, two wrestlers will match up to win the championship title. The type of match is pre-determined and has ranged from a "no disqualification match" to a "steel cage match."

Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and The Rock are WrestleMania graduates and the event has made them worldwide celebrities.

Because of the many brands WWE encompasses, fans have a lot of opportunities to buy all kinds of WWE tickets. Find your WWE tickets today at CapitalCityTickets.com and enjoy a family fun event in your city!

Goldberg, Undertaker and WWE’s reliance on older stars

It’s the end of 2016, and fans of World Wrestling Entertainment are already looking ahead to the new year with thoughts of the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 33 dancing in their heads. Two of the names fans are thinking about the most are Goldberg, who turns 50 years old on Dec. 27, and The Undertaker, who is 51. In a company that is supposed to be trying to find the next Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin or The Rock, it appears the two men who have made the most noise in WWE in the last month are part-timers who only have a few matches left in their bodies. Today’s column will take a look at two grizzled veterans who will wrestle a few more times in order to help Raw and SmackDown win back some fans that may want to check out what their old favorites are doing these days. Goldberg’s Return Has Just Begun When I think back to everything that has happened in WWE this year, it’s the return of Goldberg that stands out as something I absolutely didn’t see coming. Is Goldberg in for Royal Rumble after dominating Brock Lesnar in Survivor Series?

Goldberg shocked the WWE Universe in his return to the squared circle Sunday night at Survivor Series, but could his dominant showing over Brock Lesnar be the beginning of more than just a “one-and-done” final match? All along, the two-time world champion has said this will be the one and only match of his return, and no one would blame him for sticking to that claim and leaving on such a high note. But according to one report, this won’t be the last we see of Goldberg in a WWE ring. Warning: Though only rumors, there are potential WWE spoilers ahead. Goldberg reportedly has signed a contract to appear at the Royal Rumble in January, sources told Pro Wrestling Sheet. The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s four main pay-per-view events of the year, and the winner of the Royal Rumble traditionally receives a world title match that often takes place at WrestleMania. The contract reportedly was signed last week leading up to Survivor Series, which influenced the way the match was booked, according to Wres
