About Slayer
Founded in 1981 in Huntington Park, CA, Slayer is a thrash metal band formed by Kerry King and Dave Lombardo. Slayer's musical style involves fast tremolo picking, double bass drumming, riffs in irregular scales and shouted vocals. They gained national fame with their 1986 album Reign in Blood. They are one of the “big four” thrash bands along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. In 2007 and 2008 Slayer won Grammy Awards for their songs "Eyes of the Insane" and "Final Six" respectively.
