About Il Divo
Il Divo was formed in 2004 by music producer and former American Idol judge Simon Cowell. Il Divo is a multinational classical crossover group. They are a vocal quartet comprised of four male singers; Swiss Urs Buhler, Spanish Carlos Marin, American David Miller, and French Sébastien Izambard. The group sings in English, Latin, Spanish, French, and Italian. All four singers are classically trained.
Il Divo released their first album, Il Divo, in 2004. The album was a hit, reaching number one in the United Kingdom and number four in the United States. "Unbreak My Heart" which was a Toni Braxton hit put the group on the map. Il Divo has sold over five million copies so far worldwide. Il Divo’s second album, Ancora, included a single performed with Celine Dion. It was their first album to land at #1 on the Billboard 200. At the end of 2005, Il Divo released a Christmas album.
In 2006 Il Divo released the FIFA World Cup associated Voices album, which included songs from both Il Divo and a number of other singers, including Elton John, Billy Joel, and Rod Stewart and their third studio album, Siempre. That album included a cover of the Bryan Adams song "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?"
