About ZZ Top
Founded in 1969, ZZ Top was formed in Houston, TX and consist of band members Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbons, and drummer Frank Beard. Beginning with blues-inspired rock, the band incorporated new wave, punk rock and dance-rock by using synthesizers. The band started receiving national attention and selling out venues coast to coast after the release of their 1983 album Eliminator. The band has sold over 50 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
