About Jackson Browne
Jackson Browne has toured relentlessly throughout his long career, selling out venues in the U.S. and abroad on a regular basis. Browne has always showed his emotions through his music which allows his fans to connect to him and they flock to his shows every year. He has sold sold over 18 million albums in the United States.
Jackson Browne grew up in Southern California but in 1967, found his way to New York to try making a mark on the ever-popular folk music scene. Before moving to NY, Browne joined the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band which recorded a number of Browne's songs, including "These Days", "Holding", and "Shadow Dream Song". For the next few years he would write and record songs and at the age of 23, Browne released his debut album Jackson Browne (Asylum Records). The album included the hit singles "Rock Me on the Water" and "Doctor My Eyes," which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Hold Out, gave Jackson Browne his first #1 album on the Billboard pop charts. The album included two singles that charted on the Billboard charts, with "Boulevard" making it to #19 and "That Girl Could Sing" peaking at #22.
Over the years Browne has written and recorded classic songs like "These Days", "The Pretender", "Running on Empty", "Lawyers in Love", "Doctor My Eyes", "Take It Easy", "For a Rocker", and "Somebody's Baby".
